Yedlin as a winger instead of RB

What do people think about this? He was very dynamic as a sub, and today he showed that it wasn't just because he had fresh legs and everyone else had 75 minutes of wear and tear when he entered. He was so dynamic today and created multiple good opportunities. Now it's true that he was going up against a guy playing out of position, and we certainly had to help him out on defense, as Cameron and Zusi were both quite useful in covering his arse on those runs and more.
On the other hand, I've seen him play a couple of times in MLS where he has more defensive obligations, and he has looked much worse. I saw several posts from people who watch more MLS than me, and they all had the same assessment of him.
So if he is great as a pure attacker and not great at timing his runs, figuring out when to go forward and when to stay back, and playing physical defense, why don't we just cut our losses and develop him as a right winger instead?
Obviously this has a lot to do with his club situation, but they've got Evans out there.

he seems to have no scoring/assisting instinct other than crosses. RM maybe, but as a winger? don't see it

He reminds me a bit of 2002 Beasley, who wasn't a bad player at all and actually looked really good in Europe for a few years. And even at his best, Beasley was not a big scorer.

Hes 1 of the our most dangerous players on the outside and in space. Period. He has elite speed and that is something you cant coach.
Does he have his flaws? Sure. Hes 20 years old. But on the biggest stage he was 1 of our most dangerous players out there. Things happened when he was on the field.
Wherever he is at his best is where I want him. If thats at the RB, RM, Winger, etc im fine with that.
