I understand that but all Rangers must be troopers. I have never met a TX Ranger but I have read about them because I like cowboy history. He did not say he wasn't a ranger so if he is a Trooper he may well be a Ranger.

I was a Ranger for 17 years. I can tell you that no Ranger would appreciate being called a trooper. Yes we were troopers at one time, but we worked hard to earn that Ranger badge.
