Ninety-seven percent of poor households have a color television; over half own two or more color televisions.
I agree that the poor have it relatively easy in America compared to the rest of the world, but "color" tv? I've seen people in third world countries running color TV's off of car batteries. At this point, if you can even find a B&W, it's probably a collectors item. I don't even think I've heard that term since the Dire Straights song in the 80's.

I heard the term B/W TV just yesterday. Email from a friend in Texas:
Bob and Clara got married 50 years ago. They went out to dinner to celebrate.
Bob: "Ya know, Clara, when we first got married we lived in a shack, drove an old beat up car and watched TV on a 10 inch black and white. But every morning I woke up next to a beautiful 22 year old woman.
Now, we have a big house, 3 expensive cars and 3 big flat screen color TVs. But I wake up to an old ugly hag. Seems to me you haven't kept up your end of the bargain."
Clara: "Well, Bob, you find yourself a 22 year old woman. And I'll see to it that you end up in a shack, driving an old beat up car and watching TV on a 10 inch Black and White TV."
