Little Nicky is responsible. He built the program back up and brought back the LA talent. Mike Archer left the local talent alone in the 80's and went for the big out of staters while those out of state programs plucked LA boys left and right. Add to that the disaster that was Curly Hallman and the quick decline of Dinardo and Saban WAS responsible for the success of the LSU program and Leslie has ridden that wave quite well. Leslie continued to keep the players in state and hired the best Offensive and Defensive minds possible. He is a good CEO coach, as Spurrier said, but I doubt his ability to actually coach X's and O's as evidenced by the amateurish clock problems and his inability to speak English.

Mark Emmert didn't know how successful NS was going to be.
He hired best guy he had at time.
Saban's record since that day speaks for itself.
Nothing to do with Mark E.
I know it kills some of you, but give the short guy his due.
He's the best in the business.

I am assuming that you have been to numerous LSU staff meetings and have a lot of college football coaching experience which enables you to judge how much of an X's and O's coach Miles is.
Please tell us more about your experience and accomplishments.
I'm willing to bet that Miles' English is way better than yours is. Huh dat rite, sha?
