I can answer this for you guys. It isn'y Saban, and it isn't Miles; it's the decision makers who decided LSU football would be great and chose to deploy our capital on first class coaches and first class facilities. Long after Saban and Miles are gone from this life greatness will belong to those of spirit who reach for it, just as it always has. Saban and Miles are hired guns; we can always hire others. Greatness, for LSU football will always rise and fall on the expectations, committment, and audacity of its regents and the people whom they serve.

I understand your point, but I think both of the coaches have done a fine job as well. There are schools that pump money into the program without the success that LSU has experienced. Not every coach is a success even when highly compensated.
