Party registration is not required in MS, so that isn't the issue.
However, you're only allowed to vote in ONE party's primary, not one party's primary and then the other party's primary runoff.
The allegation is that a lot of people who voted in the Dem primary also voted in the Republican runoff, which is against state law and makes for an invalidated vote.
