Talk to a health care professional or perhaps clergy. You will establish this contact and have someone that is skilled in helping you to talk to when and if you need help. They can help you put things into perspective when the "seeing" isn't so easy. You are worthwhile to more people than you realize. Be good to yourself-you deserve it. Hang in there-things will be ok. Truly.

Medic, I've been there man. I'm probably going through some of the most difficult challenges I've ever had right now so just know that you aren't alone. You have been given some really good advice in this thread. Let your son be your motivation and take it one day at a time. Try to live in the present moment and watch your thoughts and emotions as they come up. Realize that they don't represent reality. Cultivate positive habits like exercise and meditation and keep the substances to a minimum. Have faith and remember the worm always turns.

Bro, you need to watch the movie Friday....when pops told Craig, " you win some and you will lose some, but you live you live to fight another day"...

Take those words to heart, and each day will get better and better!
