But they're both EXPENSIVE machines.
I went to Gator Tail last year and spec'd one out. I was pretty dead set on buying one, but damn, they are freaking expensive. I wanted something to fish and bow fish out of. I think it was about 27k after it was all said and done. That included bow fishing setup with LED's and a trolling motor and a CC.
I just couldn't see spending that much for a bateau with a lawnmower engine. I would still love to have one though. Maybe some day.

I have both at my work.
The Pro Drive reverse is legit however the gator tail runs faster and gets on plane easier with a full load. For me staying out of the dog house getting out of the marsh is my top priority as I tend to get side tracked often.

Same here. I know a guy who works at Gator Tail. I had already been quoted $17,600 for a 18x48 PD center console (no trolling motor). Talked to the guy I knew and he said I was looking at 20k+ for the same thing in Gator Tail.
I ended up with a fiberglass flats boat loaded out with GPS/Depthfinder, power pole, hydraulic jack plate, trolling motor, etc. for $18,500. Adding those things to a Gator Tail would have put me around that 25k-27k mark. I want one, but not for that money.
