Fished Fourchon yesterday.
The water looked pretty good but trout were not there. I was fishing amongst several guide boats. A little after 7:00 2 of them said they were retrailering their boats and going to Leeville.
Fortunately there were big packs of bull reds running along the rocks near bell pass. The reds at least saved the day somewhat and we proceeded to boat several of the brutes and had a bunch break us off. But they gave us something to do and my 11 year old daughter caught her first big bull red.
Also there were lots of sharks and mackerel. But more than anything there seemed to be millions of hard tails not catfish but hard tails that immediately would hit almost anything small that was thrown in the water. The water was extremely salty which maybe the reason for the sharks and lack of specks if the salinity was off.
The other guide that stayed didn't much better than I did and told me they only had 1 speck which is what we had.
I did not find the grass to be that bad and it certainly wasn't so bad that it would prevent fishing.
