That's the key. Most of these guys (don't know his story so not judging him) have mental issues, or are heavily addicted to drugs and/or alcohol - which is why they can't hold a job.
With unemployment and disability, food stamps, section 8 allowances, and other assistance programs there's usually more to it than "hitting a rough patch" for the homeless folks out there.

We are trying to work on something now to help him.
