I’m looking into LSUS online MBA program. I’m also looking into Louisiana Lafayette’s program. Does anyone have any concerns of an LSUS/Louisiana Tech merger? I know it recently was pushed off, and they have tried and failed before. I’m from out of state and I’m sure I don’t have all the details. I apologize ahead of time if I am misinformed. Also does anyone have a recommendation on a good first class to take? I have been out of school for eight years. I would start the 2nd spring semester.
Hi, the "merger" seems to be a non-issue. I think there was one State Legislature pushing the issue and he's failed twice. Not sure what his motive is, but he can't seem to gain traction. And even if it did ever pass, LA Tech is a good school too. The Lafayette program, to me, appeared inferior because of the additional time it would take to complete. If i remember right, it was 11 courses and a minimum of 13 months to complete. I think the price was competitive though. I actually reached out to them before I decided on LSUS. What drove me to LSUS was that the ULL rep failed to meet our appointment. We were scheduled for a 9:30 call, I cleared my schedule, and no call came. So that made my decision easier. The downside to LSUS that I'm finding is thier marketing lately makes them look like a diploma mill. If you search LSUS, the first thing you see is "our online MBA" and "we have an 80% acceptance rate, apply today." That's a bit of a concern for me.
