first, does Huang use the 2 large pdfs from Accounting Principles for the reading assignment?
pdf 1 is Chapters 1-8
pdf 2 is chapter 9-18

second, to confirm, the weekly practice is open note and assessments are closed notes?

I'll jump in on that...no she does not use those pdfs. She has a custom power-point downloadable each week that is the basis for her video lectures. I only used these to study with in the class, I never used the book.

On your second question, yes open notes for the weekly "homework"/pre-test. Just print off the PowerPoint, since proctorio is a lock-down browser, and make notes on it when listening to the lecture. The weekly assessment/test is closed notes. Everything on the pre-test (as well as the weekly assessment) is going to come out of that PowerPoint, as straight forward as it can be.

One strategy I employed was to study the PowerPoint, listen to the lecture and then take the first attempt of the pre-test without notes, just to see how much I could do on my own. Then I would study the concepts I missed and use the notes on my second attempt to ensure I got an A. If you understand the concepts tested on the pretest, you will do well on the closed note assessment.
