I didn’t listen. I just read the emails he sent out (they were detailed about what went on) and felt bad for the guy. I replied and told him not to let the safe-spacers get to him. But I’ve found the class prettty simple. I Just do the readings and listen to the lectures. Some of the quiz questions are a little silly (two answers that could be right) but it’s fine.

Jump start for Shaugnessy/Econ would just be to watch some videos on regression analysis, study Game Theory/prisoners dilemma. Supply and demand curves. Get comfortable with excel. Maybe looking up those types of problems on the interwebs. and pay for subscription to chegg.

Based on my experience with the program, I believe more stringent requirements to enter the program would decrease the number of whiners we encounter. Some of the folks I’ve encountered have no business in grad school. In some extreme cases, I’m surprised they were able to earn an undergrad degree.
