How incredibly naive and narcissistic of you to think that.
I disagree with Earth being the only life in the universe. However, I do agree with his assessment that life itself is precious, a gift, and that we (all intelligent life) are special creations of God, created for a reason, to reason.

He said "Only life in the whole universe". That's what is narcissistic. Seriously this is how far our radio signals have traveled total:
And that is so far our furthest signals, and no other alien life form would have been able to find us before that (at least consciously looking for other intelligent life).
Plus what makes you think the aliens would want to put up with is? We're a pretty violent species and it probably wouldn't end well for all involved.
