they are. It's like being a politician or a customer service representative for an airline.

It is pretty simple actually. There are 2 groups:

The people who hate Alleva: the ones who think his only jobs are to dictate traffic from the game and charge money to park at the game. They think it is his fault that the baseball team isn't batting as well as they should. They think it is his fault when the football offense isn't clicking on all cylinders. They blame him when the toilet in the bathroom at Tiger Stadium won't flush correctly. They think it is his fault we have to play Florida in football every year.

The people who like Alleva: Actually understand what an AD is supposed to do. They realize that our AD is making so much money that we are able to give back to the academic side. They see that our athletes are graduating in record numbers. They see that none of our sports are in any kind of NCAA trouble. They recognize that he has made good hires in Johnny Jones, Nikki Caldwell, and Beth Torina. They see all of our facilities improving.

Those who want him ushered out the door, forthwith, just don't get it. The guy is doing his main jobs very well.
