Beatles fans around the world are to be given the opportunity to hear the group’s albums as listeners did in the 1960s. On September 8 (a day later in North America), the first nine U.K. album releases by the band, plus the American-compiled ‘Magical Mystery Tour’ and the ‘Mono Masters’ collection of non-album tracks, will be released in mono on 180-gram vinyl LPs with faithfully replicated artwork. This represents all of the group’s work up to 1968, until which time mono was the predominant listening format.

I'm not sure yet, I have been looking for that info as well, but haven't found it yet. $35 to $40 is a legit guess IMO.

I have the mono box set (CD). That's good enough for me.

That's a ripoff too, frick that noise. Why pay 3 times as much for a record? Nostalgia?

Can't you just set your player to mono?

the mono mixes were entirely different and in many cases better than the stereo... it's strange b/c most people have only heard the stereo versions since the first beatles cds were released in the 80s but that's not how the music was intended to be heard when it was recorded. the early days work sounds much fuller and rich in the original mono mixes. there are a ton of youtube comparisons fwiw..
