Looks great! I also thought corn would be a good addition for those who like that in Mexican soups, especially now that fresh corn is coming out.
It's a good base for a Mexican soup because nothing needs to be exact and you can add your own flavors. I still think some roasted peppers, mild or otherwise, would be a good addition and maybe some toasted ground peppers.
