Yes because the power of the President to appoint and dismiss political appointees is the same as Congressional oversight of 4 people killed at an US Embassy,
The US Attorney "scandal" was not a scandal. Every US Attorney serves at the pleasure of the POTUS. Most every US Attorney is asked to proffer their resignation when a new Administration begins.
