We are staying near Fairfax. I know there is a metro station in Fairfax but we have been told that parking fills up by 6am or so. Im just looking for the best/easiest option to get into DC.
Once in DC I'm fine with walking and taking the subway everywhere.

Just drive to Franconia-Springfield station and ride the blue/yellow line into the city.
My boss used to live out there and never said anything about the parking filling up there.
