Which I've been too. Neither compare to something like US-Mexico in Columbus. We don't need to bring an NFL fan mentality to anything. Quit being a bitch.

You've never been to a soccer game in the States have you. Better atmosphere than NFL games.

If the US hosts a world cup in 2022 or 2026 with the growth of the AO i think by then we will see an atmosphere that will put the NFL to shame

I don't know that a lot more than the 15% you mention haven't already gotten their $5000 in credit debt too many times over.

What does the atmosphere of a soccer game in the states have to do with the atmosphere of a World Cup game?
Guess all the fans who attended us-Mexico in Columbus stayed home for the cup because the buzz just wasn't as good as the aforementioned games.

Nothing. It was the bringing the NFL mentality to the world comment that irked me. I guess that's just one of my buttons because I believe strongly that our support is amazing from where we've been and we shouldn't be following anybody. No hard feelings. Have fun for all of us in Brazil

You realize that for US Soccer to grow they are going to have to enter the NFL fan market?

No issues. I just hated watching Ghana and all their passion when I know we have the ability to show the same emotions.

Ghana pre-game

From my calculations, we've been growing just fine the way we've been doing it.

I think most Americans are living paycheck to paycheck. Yea, you, me and all our friends could afford a $5000 trip with advanced notice but not 85% of Americans. shite, 15% of Americans are so poor they don't know if they are gonna eat dinner tonight. Another 30% have their credit maxed out.

Anyway, yes Americans CAN afford to have a large contingency in Brazil. I just had to laugh at you numbers.

And where do you think these fans are coming from?

The point was that knowing 4+ years in advance even a lower middle class individual in the US could acquire $5000.

It was still amazing to hear US songs coming through the TV so loud and clear from a tournament across the world. Something unimaginable even 5 years ago.

They just put mics by the fan sections and pump it in. How do you think you hear the bands so clearly during CFB games on the TV.

If you're thinking NFL, thanks for proving my point. We don't need an NFL mentality to grow the game. We're doing it our way and it's working.

So FIFA just put mics by a section of US fans? Weird.
