Was still good in uppers. Not many chair backs. I got mine today upper chair backs in 639. I'm pretty excited just to have season tickets.

With that being said I have a few stupid questions for the more experienced guys.

I think I got pretty lucky. I only joined the waiting list this year and donated 100 to TAF. That is my complete donation and I landed season tickets. I figured I would be waiting for several years. Anyways I purchased 2 season tickets today in sec 639 chair backs.

Does the TAF donation go towards my account?

What is the renewal process next year?

What are the odds of me getting better seats and more seats next year?

Do I need to join waiting list next year to renew?

Sort of. It was explained earlier in the string. As I recall, the "seat donations" only go towards away and bowl games eligibility. The other donations you make (e.g., the $100/yr for 3 points) goes towards upgrades and bowl and away games.

Same as this year. When you pay for your tickets, you will be asked if you want to pay $10 to get on the waiting list.

Slim and none. This year was a complete aberration because LSU took away 1,500 lower level seats from visiting fans and put them in the new upper south addition (WAY up there). Those 1,500 in the lower south were made available in this year's wait list and they were scooped up rather quickly. I was following it the first week and you could just see them going all day.

It's very unlikely that LSU will ever do that again as all teams try to give a certain amount of lower level seats to the opposing teams so that they can satisfy their big donors. LSU had already taken many lower level seats away from visiting teams when the East Upper was built, however, I believe those seats were given to the TAF rather than being open up to the waiting list. By law, there is a maximum number of lower bowl seats that the TAF can control, and I'm guessing that the TAF has reached its limit.

In any event, the result this year was that people in front of you got seats that they never would have gotten in the past which left chairbacks in the upper deck for you. But, it's doubtful you'll be able to move to the lower bowl any time soon, as this will probably never happen again. But, for $10/yr., it's always worth trying.

I've been giving the $100/yr donation for over a dozen years and the most/best I've ever been offered when it was my turn was singles in the South Upper.

Your best bet is to just keep giving the $100/year (or substantially more - like $5K if you want to move up sooner) and eventually you'll catch up with others who do that because donations/points roll off after 20 years.

Yup. Just pay your $10 when you renew your tickets next year. It all starts over. Given the availability this year and the fact that each account holder can only have 8 tickets in their account, you never know.
