Going low this week.
Today has given me some all time high confidence with my irons, and I think I finally have the new driver dialed in. Putted like a champ today.
All systems go for 70's.

Bama, is there any way to keep my neighbor's Bermuda from creeping into my St. Aug lawn? It's getting annoying, especially since there's even a driveway between us.

Lemme try and find a herbicide that is safe on St. Aug, but Bermuda is sensitive.
BTW, next time in ATL, holler at Wolf Creek. Top notch course with a top notch staff that I dealt with. The starter was pretty much a caddy. Their cart GPS system was basically a yardage book that gave you tips on the hole, especially a few blind tee shots you had.

How bad is it? Snap a pic sometime?
St. Augustine should kinda shade out bermuda because it's so tall and broad-leaved. Raise your mowing height on that section and it could help.
So, is the bermuda coming all the way from under the driveway to your yard?

Jesus that #1 fairway looks wide! Maybe the pic is deceiving.

Weave you playing in it?

This year is the worst because I killed all of my dollarweed and nutsedge with some chemical spray in March and left some room for the St. Aug to grow into...but the spots filled primarily with bermuda.
I'm guessing the bermuda seeds are getting blown over from the stalks since they only cut their grass every 10 days or so?

I was gonna add a description of each hole, but forgot.
It was pretty wide...but a lot of the left side is the range. Right far end of the range kinda just runs into #1 rough. I went left and was about 30 yards from a decent amount of range balls.
I found the course to be very fair in most aspects. They had some very tricky greens, but the speed was perfect and the roll was absolute flawless. Course was wider than I would have thought, but pretty thick rough. Fairways were great, but a little long. Almost no roll, so it played a little longer than the 6600 we played it at.
I had a 15 foot putt where I had to ride the sidehill all the way to the hole. I was aimed probably 7 feet right. Hit the putt I wanted and it rolled perfect into heart of the cup, but tiny bit too much pace and popped out. Woulda been a hell of a par (punched out of woods).

Just depends. A lot of bermuda does not produce viable seed, but if it's common bermuda (very well could be) then yeah, seeds could blow over.
Bermuda is everywhere. Could came from anywhere. Sounds like it just filled it those empty spots faster than St. Aug.
How big are the spots? Spot spray RoundUp. Kill everything in those spots (St. Aug and Bermuda). Give it a few days to a week. Take a plug from healthy part of St. Aug. Throw some soil/sand on top and maybe a little fertilizer. St. Aug should spread and fill it in pretty fast.
The research in me would like to see what happened if you put some shade over the bermuda spots. St. Aug has much better shade tolerance than Bermuda. Shade would thin out Bermuda and let St. Aug swoop in. But then again, how the hell would you put shade on your lawn without some stupid looking contraption?

Good deal. So as long as I spot spray it, I'll be fine?
Posted on 6/16/14 at 1:03 am to Golfer
Should be fine. How big of spots are we talking?
Foot diameter? Couple feet?
If it's not that big, you might be able to just spot spray (assuming you don't wanna dig it up) and let the surrounding St. Aug take over. Long as you dont just go spraying it all over the place, you should be all good.

Biggest spot is maybe 2x2...most are 6" or so around.
Posted on 6/16/14 at 1:09 am to Golfer
Yeah. I'd buy a little thing of RoundUp spray the areas, let it die out, and spread some nice soil on it. Probably all you would really need. Maybe some fertilizer and a plug or two in that 2x2 spot if you wanna expedite things.
