I didn't worry about mine until I got a fast boat. I started wearing mine and it was a while before I realized the kill switch didn't work. All it is basically is a contact, so they will wear out. Just adding this so yall will know to test them from time to time.

Good to know. I'll test mine and, after reading this thread, start using it and wearing my life jacket when underway.
