As much as I love Austin, I'm starting to dislike it. There's too many damn California transplants here now wanting to bring their shitty culture and views with them. South Austin is a shite hole because of all the trendy liberals. I can't stand downtown now because of the insane hipster scene.
I stay west of town near the lakes and I'm happy. If I have to venture downtown, I'll dig up any excuse I can to avoid it.

I don't know why people leave a state that sucks, and then proceed to vote for the same things that resulted in them leaving in their new home.

Then what's the point of even being near Austin? If you loathe downtown and going there, why not move to a remote location farther out from the city?
