I've listed several large companies through which I'm considering starting a direct re-investment plan.
I'll probably choose 5 or 6 before the end of the year and slowly add to them over time.
I'd like to be able to live on their dividends in 30 years like I read about on so many blogs.
I have an extremely limited knowledge of finance, stocks, economics etc. and I'm even worse at math....so if I got an entire column or two wrong then please let me know.
Obviously these numbers will change daily, but you get the idea.
Row M is the site that allows you to purchase your first share in the company. The stock must be in YOUR name, not a "street" name...so this is important. firstshare, directinvesting, computershare
Row N is where you would go to buy subsequent shares. Again, these are correct to the best of my knowledge.
I was quite confused at first so I made this spreadsheet to have all the info in front of me.
Enjoy!

I'm on vacation for another week with nothing to do so I'll probably add a few more. Any suggestions?
