First, let me preface that I'm no where close to a runner & one of the other guys in this thread may have more of a working knowledge. But I'll refer back to my earlier post about "some can, some can't". I think you better have impeccable mechanics & slowly build up & even then I wouldn't advise it. I think, as with anything, this "minimalist" thing got overly popular & resulted in a "this is cool, let's do it" kinda cult following. I bought a pair of new balance minimus to train in(squat, DL, etc). I made the the mistake of wearing them all day long for about a month. My feet, calves & hammys flared up bad. It did make me aware of a potential problem though
