Most states receive more federal aid on education than they provide support for education themselves.
Ideologists and lobbyists have often had more influence and control than the states themselves.

Common core is almost as controversial as Obamacare in my area. He should be listening to what is probably the overwhelming majority of his constituents. If that's the case, then good for him and for Louisiana.
