I would say Led Zeppelin III companion is the best of the new CD's. I really like the SIBLY cut, along with Friends and Gallows Pole.

On the flip side the live from Olympia in '69 on Led Zeppelin I companion was a bit disappointing. Heartbreaker without a solo (there isn't one that exists on a boot) was , How many more times is such an early live classic and it's somewhat MEH in my opinion. Happy to have a new live release though but there are boots of this show that are just as good. Would have like to see them re do Texas international pop festival from '69 instead IMO a much better show from '69.

All that being said, I'll take anything "new" from Zeppelin.

I agree with everything you said. Texas Pop would have been nice. I wasn't expecting a lot from the Olympia show, though. It's not like he had multitracks to work with. Hard to be too disappointed.

I'm really impressed with the Alt Celebration Day too. Sounds so clean and crisp. But yeah, I'll take any "new" Zep, even though I do understand the reluctance of some to once again update their catalog.
