I think the new owners have to honor the terms of the lease by law in most states.

Read the lease. Should be a clause for early termination or sale of property.

Not necessarily. I have property that is leased through a rental agency, the lease used states the property may be sold during the course of the lease and a 60 day termination of the current lease would then be in effect.

Read the fine print of your lease.
