As much as the "we're classy fans" bit is argued, I do think the Box isn't very intimidating at all for opponents. Sure, there's (usually) a big crowd, but it's not hostile or crazy. It's polite, and claps for the visiting team.
That doesn't rattle your opponent, it helps them stay focused. It probably discourages our own team too. Things like that can affect both teams' psyche
