I'm not to sure what the point of your post is. Other than just being a complete a-hole. I didn't feel the need to break down every single detail of the happening.

I think the point is that you didn't "do everything right." A gun is now in a criminal's hands due to several decisions you made. I don't mean this as an insult, but you can't expect everyone to pat you on the back in this instance.
