crappy old-school monster flicks that deserve a remake

was having some 'godzilla' fever, so i checked out some old-school monster trailers on the PS4 for a possible rental....after watching a few of 'em, i thought "wow, these seemed alot better when i was a kid" & realized how awful they really are
i'm going with 'the beast from 20,000 fathoms' and 'gorgo'. i kinda dug both movies when i was an impressionable dorky first-grader, but almost wish i didn't re-watch those trailers today, lol...wow, just wow. but i'd still like to see those movies get the big-budget treatment in the 21st century. any others?

Harryhausen.
Not a crappy movie.
Not a crappy movie.

i admire him for being a game-changer way back when, and i did like '20,000 fathoms' many years ago....but pong was a game-changer, too. i wouldn't mind seeing a fresher version....

Voltron needs a movie before anything else happens

If by "crappy" you mean "dated" then
1a. Destroy All Monsters
1b. Mothra vs. Godzilla
2. King Kong vs. Godzilla
3. Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla
4. Godzilla vs. Gigan
5. Godzilla Raids Again
6. Godzilla vs. Space Godzilla
7. Godzilla vs Hedorah
Basically all the Godzillas, except fricking All Monsters Attack

The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms is still enjoyable to me.
One of my favorite monster movies that I'd like to see remade today is the 1957 Roger Corman classic "Attack of the Crab Monsters"
Who wouldn't want to see a movie about giant telepathic crabs? No cgi though, I'd want to see some practical effects like Corman used

Ultraman.
i'm kinda surprised this hasn't been made into a movie, at worst a made-for-TV movie. on some other boards i occasionally visit, whenever someone mentions ultraman, the thread usually explodes, lol...lots of old-timers (me included) remember watching it from years back.
that said, i did see some youtube clips of some of the more recent rebooted 'ultraman' episodes, and they didn't look half-bad, visually speaking....

yes, alot of those godzilla flicks are dated, but i don't think i'd get onboard with some of those storylines. i wouldn't rush to the theater to see time travel or mini twins in a godzilla movie, then or now....

Battle of the Gargantuans

is that the same movie (perhaps re-titled) as 'war of the gargantuans'? i don't know what i'd think of it if i saw it today, but yeah, i remember enjoying it as a kid...

lol, how could that pipsqueak of a monster possibly conquer the world? all things considered, it wasn't a half-bad flick, from what i remember....perhaps a title change wouldn't hurt if it got a remake.

Gorgo had a nice twist for an ending.
Attack of the Crabs would be good too. Especially if they would have the crabs get into their infamous spitting and fighting mad attitudes.
One of my campy favorites; the tree monster in From Hell it Came

Reptilicus
Curse of the Demon
Them
Tarantula
The Crawling Eye
Invaders From Mars (the 1986 'remake' was an abomination)

I predict this movie WILL get made in our lifetime.
