1. birth of both my kids
2. When my son choked on some food when he was about two yrs old. (he's OK but it took what seemed forever to get the food unlodged)

3B. Stuck inside the drivers compartment of a M1A1 tank with a live round stuck halfway in the main gun (breach would not close).

Kid choking would be awful. I think instinct just kicks in for the parent.
