And there's your reasoning. Money

I just know that at some point there was a city counsel meeting and some PTA mom stood up and gave her reasoning why it had to be that low - and I'll bet she talked about how a kid could be chasing a ball into the road or something equally eye-roll worthy.

Victim of a 44 in a 30, myself.

I went down a road the other day that had a sign that read... "Deaf Child at Play"

How am I supposed to know the "child" isn't 19 today? How did that sign get put up? Was there a time limit? Is the child also blind?

The problem with that is that there are huge wood fences on either side enclosing the neighborhoods and separating them from the four lane stretch.

Even still, I think it only goes up to 40 mph when you pass the subdivisions and go through the field. I suppose you may hit a jack rabbit nibbling on the crops?
