. Didn't magic have to quit on his teammates when he contracted HIV through stupid and selfish life decisions?

He didn't QUIT his team... He quit the league cause he had no other choice... I have said this.. Was it stupid?? YES...

BUT it has NOTHING to do with anything in this thread.

Magic was amazing, but everything about that era in basketball has been romanticized to a point nothing could live up to it. I see magic averaged 11-12 assists in his career and it blows my mind that that's even possible.

Magic CHANGED the way the game was played.. Has Bron done this????

But to act like he's a above reproach seems silly. The old guard just champions their era of basketball like it wasn't often a hockey fight in the paint and a slow, boring free throw contest. Contrary to popular belief, the MJ/magic/bird era had its flaws and the stars got the calls back then, too. All MJ jock sniffers outta know that

All these players get away with calls.. I never said they didn't.......

Does changing the game=greatness?

George Mikan was so good, the NBA changed a few rules to make it more fair. Is he the GOAT because of this? Top 10? He CHANGED the GAME

bullshite!. Magic didn't change the way the game was played. He just happened to be the first guy to play the point guard at 6'9 and as such he could make a significant contribution in rebounding. But he hardly changed the way the game was played. LeBron on the other hand HAS changed the game. LeBron's versatility and unique skill set gave birth to the term's "point forward" and "positionless" basketball.
