Homeschool kids aren't weird because they are homeschooled
many are homeschooled because they are weird to begin with.
Depends also on what you considered weird.

It is all about the school district. We live in an excellent school district.
The property values are high because of the excellent schools and therefore generate lots of tax revenue to fund the excellent schools. Not to mention there is no bus service in the district to help keep the riff-raff out. All of the lawyers and docs that pay $$$ for private education in BR, are the ones sending their children to public school here.
Bottom line, it is all about where you live.
