i understand it, but i also think i'd rather have him as an impact sub than some of the others we brought. he clearly isn't the same player he was, but he's also not particularly far removed from solid form.

Yeah, I'll repeat myself and say this is a purposeful rejection of Landon Donovan by Klinsman.

Any other player with Landon's current ability would still be on the roster.

I understand.

He could've taken Brad Davis' spot, but Davis is great for free kicks.

Not to mention Landon's presence as a veteran to the World Cup can have a big impact on the younger guys
