A lot of the beaches were rocky on Aruba, some on Curacao, nasty sand on Roatan with ants everywhere. Gran Turk is okay but the sand is 'dirtier' than you would expect.
Belize was cool but it had coral everywhere so we did some dives and left the beaches alone.
All in all, the decent beaches I've seen in the Caribbean are payed beaches, as opposed to the mostly fantastic Florida and Gulf Shores beaches

Not on West End Bay which is the beach to be at.

Provo bro. Grace Bay Beach is 12 miles of pristine sand and water and Middle Caicos has some stunning beaches.
I agree about Belize.
It simply appears that you went to the wrong areas or the wrong island in the case of Turks & Caicos. Grand Turk is where the cruise ships go.
