Everyone in America loves the "I can't take the time off" line. This is all too funny. If you told your boss you've got a once in a lifetime opportunity and need two weeks centered around a once in a lifetime commitment, they will relent or you should consider such an organization to be unworthy of your services.

You don't live in reality bud.
ETA: I could take off, but she hasn't been at her job a long time and she is the only nurse for her doctor who does several surgeries a day. She had really stretch to get 1.5 weeks.
And 13k is a shite ton of money man. We are 26 year old newlyweds. 10th anniversary I'm sure we'll do something like Thailand for a month, but its just not realistic at the moment and is HARDLY a once in a lifetime opportunity. Thailand's beaches are not going anywhere.
