I believe you are "misremembering." Our defense has scored a lot of our points in recent past. In 2012, we had 29 rushing TDs and 12 receiving. In 2013, we had 37 rushing TDs and 23 receiving. We doubled our receiving TD output and put up an additional 48 points from rushing. Our offense was lighting-fricking-years better in 2013 than it was in 2012.

While we scored 17 on Alabama in both 2013 and 2012, you do remember that that was the game when everybody saw what Mettenberger could maybe do given the right coach and system, right? It was by far his best game of the year.

As for Ole Miss, we played like dogshit. No way around it. Ole Miss played out of their minds. Our defense couldn't get off the field. And if you notice, LSU put up 24 points in the second half after the players got their asses reamed for the first half.

Taking anecdotal evidence to prove your point does not make your point valid. I can say "Hey, look! We pummeled Mississippi State, racking up 59 points!" or "We put up 34 on A&M and Manziel. In the cold and rain! Our offense was unbelievable!" Come on, dude. You know damn well our offense was better last year than in 2012 and a huge part of that is Cam Cameron.
