After spacing out on the face of Jesus Navas, I read your post.
I'd have this as a rebuttal. The Bosnia comeback was against their team after some substitutions on both ends. It didn't really mirror a competitive game. The Mexico game is a better argument, as the team certainly played some very nice attacking soccer withuot him in the first half. However, Donovan isn't a super ball dominant player (unless we are counting set pieces, where he is generally quite good anyway).
For me, the most interesting takeaway from that game was how good Bradley looked when Beckerman stood back.
