If you actually wanted to do Monroe for Gordon and Anderson, I think you'd be willing to take back an expiring Jerebko.

It's an interesting question. What would you give to get Gordon off the roster for 2015 FA?

2015 1st
Rivers
Withey + Pierre Jackson
Swapping Anderson and $5 million in cap space for Monroe.

Yeah, I just don't see Monroe being the missing piece that justifies giving up Anderson.

In that hypothetical, I'd have to see how Jerebko's expiring would set us up in free agency, but you're only freeing up Anderson's salary. Does that get us far enough under the cap to actually do anything meaningful in free agency? Not a trade that excites me in any way, so I'm not going to calculate the cap ramifications.

Even if you could get Monroe for the price of Anderson, which you won't, it's just a bad fit. Anderson draws a big out of the paint opening the lane for guards, Monroe wouldn't. Even if he scored as much as Anderson, he wouldn't be creating more points for other players.
