If someone put a gun to my head, I may be able to spit out 1 or 2 names of Arcade Fire songs. And I listen to a ton of music from a variety of genres. I'm pretty sure the majority of my friends, who go to a lot of concerts, would have similar trouble.

Anecdotal, and perhaps it doesn't actually contest Arcade Fire is the best, but I'm not sure we'll view them as classic. There is so much music out there that avid music fans can miss huge entries in a genre. I don't think that was as true in the 90s and before.

If you havent seen AF live you are really missing out. By far the best show I have seen this year, and maybe last year too.

I dunno man

I just looked at a few big time music magazines/sites/whatever "Best albums of the 2000s" list, and Funeral was like #1 on Billboard, #6 on Rolling Stone, #2 on Pitchfork, #3 on Paste, #7 on NME, etc etc

That's pretty high praise. They will be remembered.
