Why would you say it makes no sense. I think there's obviously some sense in picking Ego earlier than Freak.
It makes sense that Ego went before AJ, I get that. What I dont get is that Ego went 51st overall and AJ was undrafted. I didnt see that separation between to two on the field. I didnt see any separation tbh.

Yea. I do think interview process went opposite directions for these two. I'd imagine that AJ didn't give off an aura that has GM's confident in his ability to continue to improve.

It's a big leap to the NFL. Plus the interesting thing with the draft is, it takes 1 person being impressed with you. The Bears fell in love with him. If they don't pick him there, who knows. It could be the 4th-5th round before he gets picked.

With all of the physical attributes Anthony Johnson had going for him, why was he not more dominant? Ego Ferguson showed obvious signs of improvement throughout his career while Anthony Johnson was living off name alone. As this past season progressed, it became increasingly clear that he was much more hype than substance. The failed drug test combined with his name being on the list of names the LSU Strength coach put out for not showing up to workouts calls into question his work ethic and decision making ability. There is no doubt Johnson has the physical abilities to succeed, and hopefully, he will.
