My bad, you're right- was a WR projected to be a TE, compared to Boo Williams. Still, looking at the schedule he faced (Atlantic 10)- vs Stony Brook, Furman, Albany, etc; gonna say Coleman does still have more major college experience coming into the league.
Colston was described in one predraft capsule LINK as "lazy", "not a leader", "needs to refine his route running technique", "needs to develop better overall consistency"
hmmm. I think he's done alright.
edit- back on target
Payton does indeed have the outlines in place to develop a guy like Coleman. Coleman will need to work and learn, but everything I've read on him indicate that he can do just that. His writeups make him out to be a smart, quiet guy who works hard

Hey Kenny Britt is damn good when he is not hurt or in trouble

Coleman doesn't have the legs to be a TE. Not even an inside receiver. He's an outside guy.
There are chickens that have thicker legs.
41Bengal, you drinking? ha

No. Not even close to being as polished as Britt was out of college.

Nah just giving my opinion on the kid cause they said he is not a great route runner. Hey the guy is 220-225 that is not small by any means natural he could add 15 to 20 pounds without supplements.
