I don't think that invalidates the need for them. Sure, we can have "term limits" every electing cycle, right? Well we don't, because the sheep in this country give our Congress crooks their job back 90 percent of the time.

Just because OP would possibly follow through with "vote 'em all out", the vast majority opinion in this country is "They're all crooked except MY Congressman"...or "It's just the Democrats/Republicans who are crooked".
