There's no reason for them to hide the stats if they were confident that they would get all of the signatures at a certain time.
It's possible their last reported number they gave several months ago, 10,000, was a bogus number, too, and now if they disclosed how many signatures they have now it would reveal they lied about the 10,000 number and also about Rainey's recent proclamation they are gathering 500 signatures a week now.
That is why they not only don't want to give out their current number of signatures but also why they got testy last night when asked about it.

Hmmm, I wonder what the St. George organizers will be up to once the separation movement ends? Their names have gotten a lot of free publicity...

You couldn't be more wrong. You are guessing,at best.
