Go to Sam's in orange beach, ask for Chris, listen to his suggestions and prosper.

I live here but don't shore fish. I have been told a few weeks ago they were loading up on sheep head and Pompano at the perdido pass, live shrimp would be best.

You should try the state park pier in gulf shores. Live shrimp and bull minnows for flounder, red fish , sheep head and etc. the Spanish mackerel should be here now, as well. You can get a Spanish rig at Sam's
