Actually the fact Pistol Pete was able to run up and down the court playing basketball at a professional level might be the greatest feat so far mentioned in this thread.

I'm aware of that. I loved Maravich back in my day. It still doesn't make his 3 years at LSU the single greatest feat in sports or even close.
I think it's Thorpes Olympics without question.
As far as team sports and numbers, Gretsky, Ruth, Chamberlain and Jim Brown are dominant. Maybe throw in Otto Graham, 10 years, 10 title games, 7 Championships.
Don Hutsons receiving numbers are the most dominant ever in the NFL.
