only one of 41 big-budget feature films shot in 2012 and 2013 was shot entirely in California.

Are big-budget movies ever shot entirely in one place?

I dunno but Hollywood used to be the movie capital of the world BUT the Kally-forn-AY-Aians in their infinite wisdom decided to start taxing the crap of the its producers(no pun intended).

From what I have read, the top 1% of Cally's pay well over HALF of Callys state taxes.

they are not.

Hollywood isn't going to die, all of the writers and directors live there. and they do so for a reason, much like silicon valley its a desire to congregate together for networking effects.

I can see shooting continue to decline in southern california, just b.c its so expensive. But so what? the actors, directors, and writers will continue to live in SoCal, and keep the area booming.
